Light Night. An evening of live arty stuff of all shapes, sizes and flavours, all taking place after dark across Leeds city centre. If you’ve been to a Light Night before you should have a fair idea of what to expect. If you haven’t, this playlist should be useful as a checklist of what to do and expect this Friday night (5th October).

The premise of Light Night is simple. You’re gonna Walk The Night. From the second you see the first signs of the Setting Sun, you should keep your eyes peeled for unexpected interventions emerging from the Twilight.
If you’re still craving further aesthetic pleasures in between artistic morsels, you can always Look At Stars, providing the weather’s ok. Before you know it, it’ll be Midnight In A Perfect World and you still won’t have been to the pub. That’s ok though – as Light Night winds down, busy yourself looking at the Whole Of The Moon (well, most of it anyway) and deciding where to head to continue the party.
There will be some after parties taking place in nightclubs – known by some as House(s) of the Rising Sun. Here, you’ll be able to dance til Dawn before finding your way home where your housemates/spouses/parents/children will doubtless want to know “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?”
There’s no need to answer them though – just find your way to your bed, and as the New Dawn Fades drift off to sleep with the illuminating creations of some of Leeds’ finest artists creeping through your dreams…
